A tiny little Appaloosa, crooked back legs, and covered with ringworm. He put up quite a fuss at our first attempts to clean and treat him.
It did not take long for him to learn we mean him no harm. Soon he would rest his chin on your shoulder, and close his eyes in comfort as he was washed and medicated.
His new name "Pilgrim's Promise" his new owner Mary Verhoff of Alliance Ohio. This wonderful woman has an online tack shop, and as promised from her web site put a portion of her earnings from online sales toward the adoption of this foal! She continues to support our rescue on a regular basis! Thank you Mary! Please support her efforts by visiting her E-bay store:

While some folks look at the foals for color and conformation there are those special folks who look to save a life, or provide a "not so perfect" foal with an opportunity to have a wonderful life...that was just the case with this little guy.
